You can connect Apple Health during Metabolic Health setup in the SkinnyRx app. You also need the Stelo by Dexcom app and a compatible iPhone.
Connect Apple Health
- Open the Stelo by Dexcom app. Sign in or create an account.
- Follow the Stelo instructions to apply and pair your biosensor.
- Wait for the biosensor warmup to finish.
- In the Stelo app, open Settings, then Connections.
- Turn on Apple Health sharing.
- Confirm that Stelo can write Blood Glucose data to Apple Health.
- Open the SkinnyRx app and complete the Metabolic Health setup.
- Allow the requested Apple Health permissions.
SkinnyRx only reads the Apple Health categories you allow. You can change or turn off these permissions in the SkinnyRx app or your iOS Settings.
If your data does not appear
Stelo sends glucose data to Apple Health first. SkinnyRx reads it after it reaches Apple Health. This can take about three hours, so SkinnyRx does not show live readings or device alerts.
First, check whether the Stelo app shows a current reading. If it does, confirm that Apple Health sharing, Blood Glucose access, and SkinnyRx permissions are turned on. You can also reopen the Stelo and SkinnyRx apps after granting permissions.
