A melted ice pack does not always mean your injectable medication is unsafe. Refrigerate the vial as soon as it arrives. If the vial feels hot, looks damaged, or you are unsure, contact the support team before using it.
What to check
- Ice packs may be partly or fully melted during shipping.
- Check the vial for leaks, cracks, or discoloration.
- Think about whether the package may have been exposed to extreme heat, such as being left in a hot car or mailbox.
- Follow the storage directions on your medication label. You can also read How do I store my medication?.
If the vial was warm but not hot, place it in the refrigerator promptly. If it was hot, damaged, discolored, or exposed to extreme heat, do not decide on your own whether it is safe. Contact the support team through the chat in the SkinnyRx app before using it. They can review what happened and explain the next steps.
